Harvey Wayne Kiger, 17 died of a heart attack about 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon while swimming at Morgan pond, north of Perrysville just off Rd 63. Kiger was swimming alone and a picnic group nearby reported his death. He was the youngest son of Mrs. Albert Kiger of the Silverwood community and was a member of the junior class of Kingman HS. He assisted his brother, Robert in running the family farm.
Surviving are the mother, the brother and a sister, Miss Lavonna Kiger, all at home; a grandmother, Mrs. Henry Kiger of Kingman and a grandfather, Clarence Wilhite of Howard. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the family home with burial in Harveysburg cemetery.
